Christian stepped out of the shadows and looked intensely at the woman.  He knew that there was something off about her.  At first he had thought she was a vampire, but then watched her eat a piece of fruit, as he looked into her kitchen window... Yet, she seemed able to sense that she wasn't alone as she had called out to them.  He ordered the others to stay back as he approached himself to investigate this.  Her voice was the sweetest sound he had ever heard... As it drew him in, made him move closer to her, as she looked at him a bit nervous and yet curious.

"Welcome to our woods."

Was all he could think to say at the moment as he couldn't take his eyes off her, as he waited for her to say more.

The way he was looking at her, made her a little nervous.  She wasn't use to human interaction much, but was wanting to change that... So she smiled warmly looking at him.

||Keilani||- Thank you, It's nice to meet you.  I'm Keilani.

She said in a small greeting, trying to not sound as nervous as she was feeling...

He smiled as he slowly walked over to her. He held out his hand.

"It is nice to meet you, Keilani. My name is Christian. Those other two are my brother, Alan and Evan."

She took his hand when he held it out, as it was a pleasant and warm sensation.  Maybe this was what it was like when you shook hands... Nothing she has ever done before today... She saw the look he gave her though... As she was quiet a moment.

||Keilani||- It's nice to meet you all.

She finally said as she was able to take her eyes off him for a moment to look at his brothers.

He smiled softly at her.

"You have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen."

She blushed a little when he said that to her as she smiled back at him.

||Keilani||- Thank you, that is sweet of you to say.

She said as she stood there a moment.

||Keilani||- I would invite you all in, it's just that I have nothing unpacked and not much to offer at the moment.

She said not wanting to seem rude or anything as she was standing there.

He shook his head.

"It is fine. We were just heading to the city to pick up some supplies. Is there anything you need? We can bring it back for you."

She shook her head as she was thinking about it.  She was looking forward to going into the city to check things out.  She wanted to experience everything that she had not been allowed to as a child.

||Keilani||- Thank you, but no.  I'll be going into the city in a bit.

She said grateful that he offered..

He smiled and waved for his brother's to go on without him.

"THey can pick up what we need. I'll wait for you and give you the grand tour of the city."

Keilani was surprised when he offered, or well actually, just said he was doing it, and it looked like he was use to people listening.  HIs brothers did, no questions or words, just nodding and then leaving.  

||Keilani||- Thank you.

She said as she gave in as well, smiling warmly as she let him into her home when he stepped in.  Once she was ready to go they left together heading into the city.

He looked over at her and frowned slightly.

"I'm sorry if I came on a bit strong. I'm the top man in both my family and our village. I'm used to taking charge. At any time you can tell me to back off and I promise that I will."

She listened to him as he was talking a bit.  She was thinking about what he was telling her about being the top guy.

||Keilani||- Top man?  Like a chief?

She asked as she was thinking about how it was done on the island she came from.  She was trying to understand better as she wasn't upset with him.

He nodded thinking about what she asked.

"Something like that. We call it the Alpha though."

She nodded a bit as she was taking it all in... Liking that she was having someone to talk to.  Learning as she went as well.

||Keilani||-Alpha... Nice.

She said after a moment.

He pointed out a few of the tourist areas for her then looked over at her.

"Is there anything you would like to see or do while we are here?"

She had been looking around as she noticed how the other women were dressed compared to her.  She did stand out a bit, as she was thinking she may need to by a few outfits so she didn't stand out so much.  She wanted to fit in.

||Keilani||- I think I need to get some new clothes.  Are there places around here to buy them?

She asked as she had grown up pretty much making everything she owned... Not that they were bad, as some of her dresses were very pretty, but she knew they were different from what everyone was wearing..

He actually liked what she was wearing more than what he saw the other women wear.

"I will show you a place only if you promse to wear your current style of clothing when you visit my village."

She looked at him when he said that... It made her smile to know that he would invite her to see his village as she nodded her head thinking about it.

||Keilani||- Alright.

She smiled as she was thinking about it..

He smiled as he walked with her to the small shop that he knew the women in his village shopped at.

"I'm sure there are other places, but this is the one I know of."

They walked in together as they were looking around.  She smiled as she looked at all the clothes.  Two women who worked there saw her as she walked in and went right to her... Thinking she was stunning, as they were eager to help her and see her try on outfits.

||Keilani||- These are so pretty.

she smiled as they started to hand things over for her to try on... Pushing her into a changing booth and making Christian set in a chair, as they were eager to see her model the outfits..

While she was in the room changing, Christian motioned one of the women over and whispered in her ear.
"Put it all on my account Don't let her know though."

Keilani looked at the dresses before her.  Finally picking one as it fit her style , and yet looked like fit in... She put it on, looked at it a moment, then was pulled out so Christian could see it.  As the women seemed to think he was her man... 

Store Staff: What do you think?

She asked Christian as Keilani was looking at herself in one of the mirrors...

He looked at her without any expression on his face. He caught her eye in the mirror.

"I think she is beautiful no matter what she is wearing. My opinion is not the one that matters though. You should be asking her what she thinks, not me."

Keilani blushed a bit as she did hear what he said... She moved in the dress, twirling a bit as she did smile.  She did like it. 

||Keilani||- I like this one.  It is pretty.

She smiled a bit as she saw the lady nod and come and help her.  They tried a few other outfits on as she was having fun.  When they were finished he helped her carry her bags as they were walking around town.  She didn't get to much though they were chatting a bit.

||Keilani||- This has been fun.  Where do you need to go?

She asked curious....

He shook his head.

"My brothers will get what we need. I'm yours for the day, if you will allow it."

She smiled when he said that as she nodded her head.  Not minding at all that he was spending time with her.  feeling like it was a good thing, and she liked how she felt when he was near.

||Keilani||- I would like that.

she said as they went on walking.  He showed her where to go to get food... They walked around as he showed her all the places to go, the places not to go, and places to avoid.  After a few hours they were heading back to her cabin.

||Keilani||- Thank you for today.  It was very enjoyable.

She smiled warmly looking at him.

He smiled as he watched her putting things away.

"I can honestly say that being with you today was much more enjoyable than it would have been with my brothers."

She turned looking at him still smiling as she was thinking about it.  She was pleased that he enjoyed his time out with her.

||Keilani||- I have enoyed your company.

she smiled thinking about it.

||Keilani||- it still must be nice to spend time with your brothers.  I grew up alone, and wasn't allowed outside.  

She said feeling like he had been pretty lucky to have his brothers and the freedom.  The freedom she was happily enjoying now.

He shrugged then nodded.

"I love my brothers. I truly do. But even though we all have our roles in the village, we also have our own lives. Evan has a girl in the city that he plans to marry soon. Alan is still learning all he can about anything medical."

He could tell that she was really interested as he was talking as she was listening to him talk thinking about all that he had to say, nodding her head as she could understand that, also knowing that he was busy himself as he was the Alpha.

||Keilani||- And you are looking after everything that goes on in your village.

She said as she saw him nod, knowing that he had a lot to do as well.  She was thinking about it all.

||Keilani||- I'm happy that you were able to take the time away from your duties to spend with me.  It's been a pleasure getting to know you.

She smiled warmly looking at him as she was thinking about it.

He grinned as he looked at her.

"Honestly, it was nice being able to put work and responsibilities aside for the day and just relax and have a good time with a new friend."

She saw the grin on his face as he was talking about hanging with her instead of doing what he normally does.  She found herself laughing a bit as she was thinking about it.

||Keilani||- Nice.

He headed towards the door so she could finish unpacking and getting settled in.

"Any time you would like to come to the village, you are welcome. It is north east of here. There is a path through the trees. We are about half a mile along the path."

nodding her head she took a mental note of the directions that he had given her as she would like to visit some time, as she smiled looking at him.

||Keilani||- I would love to visit.  Thank you for the warm welcome and kind invitiation. 

He nodded and looked at her.

"I'll have the property added to the patrol if you wish. They won't bother you. I promise. THey will just stroll by a few times a day to make certain everything is okay."

That was very sweet as she looked at him thinking about it.  Smiling warmly nodding her head as she would happily accept.

||Keilani||- Thank you very much.

She thought about it looking at him. 

He nodded again.

"I'll make sure you meet each of the guards at the village so you will know who they are."

She nodded as she was thinking about it.  They talked for a little bit longer before he finally went heading back to the village.  Almost as soon as he was gone she kind of started to feel sad.  Not really understanding it.  She tried to brush it off as she went to work on the house.

Back at the village, Christian was feeling it too.  He paced around a lot and was just thinking about Keilani.  He was trying to focus on his work and duties but couldn't stop thinking and missing her.  . 

He was trying to read one of the applications a villager had sent him for something he wanted to do to his home. He couldn't focus his mind on what he was reading and pushed it away. 

He stood up and headed out of the office.

"If you see, Evan, tell him to enjoy his free night. i'm taking his patrol spot tonight."

He headed out to go check the woods and Keilani's place

She had been walking around her home trying to focus and put things away.  She didn't know what was going on with her... Though as soon as he was close enough she instantly felt better and then started to feel good.  She didn't know he was outside.  Once she had her kitchen set she was starting to make something for dinner, humming a bit. . 

He started to feel more focused and in control again as he got closer to her house. He stopped just inside the line of trees and smiled when he saw her in her kitchen moving around. 

He walked up to her door and softly knocked.

She opened the door then smiled as she looked at him happy to see him.

||Keilani||- Hello.

She smiled as she let him in.

||Keilani||- I was just making dinner.  Are you hungry?

She offered. . 

He nodded as he followed her in.

"I'm the one who will be watching around your place tonight. I took Evan's spot."

Keilani wasn't sure why , but it made her happy to hear that as she smiled, nodding.  Though she was curious as she had him sit down at the table while putting a plate with some steak and veggies on it, and then sat down next to him.

||Keilani||- Is your brother alright?

She asked once they were both seated. . 

He nodded and smiled.

"He's fine. I just felt he could use the extra time with Candice tonight."

She smiled seeing how kind he was, as she liked that he gave his brother some time to spend with his love.  She took a bite of her food as she was thinking about it.

||Keilani||- That is very sweet of you.

She smiled warmly as she looked at him thinking about it. 

He shrugged when she said that.

"I can be a nice guy when I need to be."

She laughed softly when he said that.  Amused with how he could be and how he was as she watched him a moment as he was eating.

||Keilani||- That is good to know.. 

He watched her closely while they ate. Once finished he helped her clean up.

"I want to try something. Just test a theory."

He walked to her door.

"I'm going to walk away a bit, then be back."

She looked at him confused but nodded her head.  Watching him walk out the door.  The further away he got, the worse he felt.. She felt it a bit too, but not as strong as he did.  She felt rather sad, and kind of empty, it was hard to explain as she just looked around a moment, then back at the door not sure what was happening... 

He walked back to her and stood looking at her.

"How did you feel when I left?"

She instantly felt better once he returned.  She thought about his question as she looked up at him.

||Keilani||- I felt sad... empty.

She said as it wasn't a good feeling... 

He listened as he thought about it.

"And when I returned?"

She thought about it, still a bit confused by this entire thing.

||Keilani||- the bad feelings went away, and I feel fine now.

She said as she was thinking about it.... 

He nodded thinking.

"When I walked away, I feel the need to return. While here, I feel...I don't know, normal I guess."

While she was glad she wasn't the only one who felt this way, she still had no idea what it meant.  She looked at him still very much confused.

||Keilani||- What does this mean?.. 

He shook his head.

"I don't know. I have never encountered it before. I'll have to talk to the elders in my village and see if they have any answers."

She nodded when he said that as she was still thinking about it.  She went picking up the dishes off the table as she carried them to the sink.

||Keilani||- Alright.

He followed and helped her with the clean up.

"Something tells me that neither of us will have peace until we figure this out."

With a nod she finished up the last plate.  Turning a bit as she looked up at him thinking about all of this, as it was really a lot to take in.

||Keilani||- Is that why you took over Evan's shift tonight?

She asked seeing him nod, as it made since.  She was thinking about it.

||Keilani||- I'm sorry that I'm causing you any trouble.

She said feeling bad that he had to change things up because of how she was making him feel now, or not feel when she wasn't around, or well all the above.  It was a lot to take in really.

He shook his head and smiled softly at her.

"It's not any trouble. I like being near you."

She smiled a bit when he said that as it did make her feel better to hear it.  Glad he liked being near her, as she liked when he was near.

||Keilani||- Good.

He looked down at her smiling.

"You won't mind if I hang out outside your place every night, will you?"

She shook her head as she wouldn't mind that.  Though she felt he didn't need to stay outside if he wasn't wanting to.

||Keilani||- I don't mind.  Anytime you would like, you are welcome to the guest room.

She offered up.

He shook his head.

"Not while I'm working patrol. Thank you though."

She nodded as she could understand that.  As she smiled a bit, but didn't mind him being so close to her.  

||Keilani||- That makes since.

She smiled warmly as she was thinking about it.

"I should be out there now."

He heard the familiar call that the patrol gives off when there's a problem and frowned.

"I'll be back."

He ran out the door to find the other two on patrol.

She watched him run off, a bit worried.  She stood in the door way and felt worry and an ache as she was hoping he was alright.  She was pacing and walking around waiting for him to return.

He was smiling as he walked back to her house.

"Everything is okay."

She was so happy he was alright and to see him she hugged him.  She had been very worried, it had been a horrible feeling with him gone like that, thinking something was wrong.  Once she realized that she was hugging him, she blushed and started to move a bit.

||Keilani||_ I'm sorry.. I'm glad everything is alright.

He let her go when she backed away.

"They were just worried because they didn't see me out there."

She listened to him as he was talking, telling why he had to leave, and was glad that it wasn't anything serious.  Nice to see that he was worried about.

||Keilani|| Ah, I see..

He sighed a little as he thought about it.

"That's one thing about being the alpha. The others are overprotective."

She looked at him when he said that as she was thinking about it.

||Keilani||- It is good that they care and worry about you.

He nodded.

"I guess. I think a part of it is them being worried what will happen to the village if I'm not there."

She nodded as she thought about it, as she did understand that way of thinking as well as she was looking at him.  She was just happy it was nothing serious and that he was alright.  For her it had nothing to do with the village, just him personaly.
